SASCHA MOERI TO LEAVE CARL F. BUCHERER

AFTER 12 SUCCESSFUL YEARS AS THE CEO OF CARL F. BUCHERER AND TWO YEARS AS THE GENERAL MANAGER OF BUCHERER FINE JEWELLERY, SASCHA MOERI HAS DECIDED TO LEAVE THE COMPANY ON JUNE 30, 2022, TO PURSUE NEW PROFESSIONAL CHALLENGES.

“We deeply regret Sascha Moeri’s decision. He has decisively shaped the positive development of the Carl F. Bucherer brand for more than a decade,” says Guido Zumbühl, CEO of the Bucherer Group. “Sascha Moeri was a passionate ambassador for our brand and an individual whose enthusiasm was contagious. He has successfully expanded the Carl F. Bucherer brand around the globe, increased awareness of the brand and effectively strengthened its image, and also ensured that our product portfolio is extremely well-positioned for the future.”

As the result of his outstanding performance, Sascha Moeri additionally took on the role of General Manager of Bucherer Fine Jewellery in fall 2020. “Under his leadership, this segment improved drastically. Today, product development and business operations have made great strides,” continues Zumbühl. “We would like to thank Sascha Moeri for his extremely valuable efforts and his loyalty, and we wish him only the best going forward and hope that his next steps bring him a great deal of happiness and fulfillment.”

“Leaving Bucherer is extremely bittersweet for me,” emphasizes Sascha Moeri. “On the one hand, I have had a wonderful time with the Bucherer Group and I will truly miss my colleagues; on the other, this step allows me to turn one of my long-held personal visions into a reality. I am especially grateful to Jörg G. Bucherer and Guido Zumbühl for entrusting me with such an important task at such a young age. This trust has always been the driving factor that has motivated me to blaze new trails with my wonderful team at Carl F. Bucherer – in the way that has been the DNA of this one-of-a-kind brand for more than 130 years. Bucherer will always have a place in my heart!”

Robert Ambord, who has been the Art Director of Bucherer Fine Jewellery since August 2021, will take over management of Bucherer Fine Jewellery on an ad-interim basis. Robert Ambord was responsible for jewelry at Gübelin for more than 20 years and has a great deal of experience in the jewelry industry.

Sascha Moeri’s former deputy, Uwe Liebminger, will take over the management of Carl F. Bucherer on an ad-interim basis. Uwe Liebminger has been responsible for global marketing and product development at Carl F. Bucherer since April 2020. He has gained extensive expertise in the watch industry over more than a decade in leadership roles with IWC and Breitling both in Switzerland and abroad.
