CARAN D’ACHE
Caran’ d’Ache has cultivated the art of beautiful writing and exquisite drawing since it was founded in 1915. Like Carl F. Bucherer, it is a resolutely Swiss company with a history of designing and producing classic Swiss products. In its workshops in Geneva, Caran d’Ache draws on its bold vision and passion to create wonders of craftsmanship. Its innovative instruments display originality and timeless elegance, each one a testament to the expertise of its master craftsmen and their relentless search for perfection.
A common heritage and a shared vision
Carl F. Bucherer’s partnership with Caran d’Ache is rooted in the histories and passions of the two brands. Caran d’Ache CEO and President Carole Hubscher says, “Like us, Carl F. Bucherer knows that ‘Swissness’ is more than a marketing term. It is a dedication to craftsmanship and uncompromising quality standards, creativity, and innovation.” Sascha Moeri, Carl F. Bucherer’s CEO agrees, saying, “We have so much in common with Caran d’Ache. Like us, they remain a family business after more than a hundred years. Their commitment to the highest level of artisanship and quality has never faltered.”
Signature Moments - The first product of a great partnership
The first collaborative project combining the talents of Carl F. Bucherer and Caran d’Ache is called Signature Moments: it pairs a special limited edition (188 pieces) of the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback Signature watch and a superb Caran d’Ache Signature rollerball pen. The watch and the writing instrument are presented together in an innovative travel pouch made from eco-friendly material, which is delivered in a beautifully crafted wooden box. It’s a breathtaking indication of things to come from these natural partners.”
“All of us – not only here in Switzerland but around the world – grew up using Caran d’Ache pens and pencils and we have a deeply-ingrained sense of their quality that we can trace back to childhood. Carole and her brand really are our natural partners.”
- Sascha Moeri, CEO at Carl F. Bucherer
